Author Database Size and Limitation on x64

If I understand it correctly, Sybase ASA 9.0.1 and higher
support 64-bit.

I will use it on Windows Standard Edition 64-Bit, which
support up to 32GB RAM and the Machine will have AMD
DualCore.

Are the Sybase limitations on Windows / Linux x64 identical
to Windows / Linux x86 ?
Database size, Cache size etc=85

What are the main differences between ASA x86 and x64
(Windows / Linux) ?

Database size limitations (if you call 1TB for a 4K page size a limitation)
are the same for all 32bit & 64bit versions of SQLAnywhere.

The 64bit servers are not restricted by the 32bit address space
(since they are, after all, 64bit processes) and therefore can have
much larger cache sizes. The 64bit servers are basically restricted
to the amount of physical memory that you have... so on your 32G RAM
computer you should be able to get close to a 32G cache.

I recommend though that you upgrade to 9.0.2 and get the latest 9.0.2 EBF.

As for differences between x86 and x64 versions of ASA, there are none
(as far as I can remember at the moment) - they are basically the same,
they are built from the same codeline, and except for the address space
that they can use (as mentioned above) they have the same features.
