Author new newsgroup user; testing post

I'm new to posting to this newsgroup. I just posted a
message but don't see it in the list of existing posts in
sybase.public.sqlanywhere.general. So I'm sending a shorter
test post to determine if my previous post somehow didn't
get submitted.

The Sybase web interface to the newsgroups can be temperamental,
especially if you spend a lot of time typing in your message before
submitting it. Try typing your message into notepad, then *quickly*
paste-and-submit.
