| This should gladden the hearts of ASA group. I tried migrating a set of
tables from MS Access to SQL Anywhere. I had some surprises.
At first I used, DTS to do the transfer, one of the tables failed. It turned
out that for ASA split table names with a white space is not aceptable.
"Order Details" should really be "OrderDetails". After this all tables were
successfuly transferred. I went back to sybase Central to see if they have
arrived safely. I could not find the tables. What happenned?
It was surprising. Is it the fault of DTS, or that of ASA, I do not know.
Next I tried the reverse, started the tool in Sql Anywhere 9.0 and voila, I
got all the tables migrated. However, the log said there was an error. I
must say I have to believe the tables.
Why did I get this message? I just migrated the data, probably it came with
some unacceptabel schema information. Of course I used the generic database
connected by ODBC's system DSN.
By the way there are two copies of tables with different icons, what do they
represent?
Where can I find info?
