| Hi,
id SQL Anywhere Studio certificated to run in RedHat Linux Enterprise 4?
I noted that the new 9.0.2 version of ASA does support the kernel 2.6.
But, will it work on RHEL4?
Many thanks

| Linux 9.0.2 release has not (yet) been thoroughly tested on RHEL4...
Some tests were run at the last minute (just before release) and nothing showed
up, so I suspect that its ok, but you never know !...
We're working on a 9.0.2 Linux EBF that is being thoroughly tested on RHEL4
so when that is done, the support matrix will be updated. Note however that
this testing won't be completed for a few weeks.
BTW: Linux 9.0.1 build 1989 has been thoroughly tested on RHEL4 so that build
(or later builds of 9.0.1) is supported.

| Hi Mark,
excelent. I will use version 9.0.1 build 1989 instead.
I looked in the support matrix and did not find RHEL4 listed, but
found kernel 2.6 listed, so I asumed it would work on RHEL4.
Can the support matrix or the RedHat Aplication catalog be updated
with this info? So I can point developers to an official document
where it says that ASA9 runs on RHEL4? I have some developers saying
that it wont work on RHEL4.
Since I'm running a production server, I will update only to
the supported versions of ASA, that is, 9.0.1 build 1989.
Many thanks Mark for the support!

| FWIW: We're working on revamping the support matrix as far as Linux is
concerned (this info is moving to a new page that will better describe what
Linux distros / kernels / glibc / etc are and are not supported).
The new information should (hopefully) show up in the next week or so.

| Hi Mark,
I understand. Well, I can wait a couple of weeks
for updating to RHEL4.
The problem is that my developer need official support
for RHEL4 and the new support matrix will help me on that.
Thanks
Oliver
