| I am running sybase 7.0.2 on windows 2000 server. My issue is with an
asat0000.tmp file that has grown to over 26 GB (runaway truncate statement
that was ended prematurely). Anyway, this transaction is still open and the
file is still there. I know that I don't care about this transaction, so
can I just delete the .TMP file in the WINNT/Temp folder while the database
is running? I replaced the .DB file with a brand new one, so this query no
longer applies to the newly created database.

| If you've shut down the database engine and a file named asat*.tmp exists,
it is safe to delete the file.
