Author Mixed Login Mode confusion!

ASA 9.0.2

My database has Login_Mode option set to 'Mixed'. I'm doing some testing on
my ODBC System DSN parameters (Login Tab) and see some results that I did
not expect to see.

1. Set "Use Integrated Login" on - Integrated Login is used.
2. Set "Supply Userid and Password" on, fill in the Userid & Password
field. Standard login is used.
3. Set "Supply Userid and Password" on and leave Userid & Password blank.
Integrated Login is used.

The #3 scenario is what surprised me. I would have thought that I would be
prompted to enter a userid and password for the Standard Login.
Any comments? Thanks.

The "Use Integrated Login" option in the ODBC configuration operates at the
ODBC driver level rather than at the database level. In contrast the
"Login_Mode = Mixed" is operating at the database engine level. I'm guessing
that you are using a standalone engine (Dbeng9.exe) at this point which
would let the integrated login work at the database engine level since you
are connecting from the local machine. Is that right?
