Design printout question...
|
|
| Troy Coombs 2005-05-13, 7:23 am |
| I would like to be able to print the some design information of our
database, such as table names, PK and FK relationships and indexes.
Essentially, something similar to what we see in the database painter
without all the extra columns that are not part of a PK, FK or index.
I don't thing Powerbuilder is going to let me do that but does anyone know
of a tool or other app that will allow me to do this easily?

| PowerDesigner can likely do that, and is included with SQL Anywhere Studio.

| I don't see it where we have ASA installed. Is it an something that I need
to select during the install of ASA?

| Yes, you would have had to install it at the same time as ASA. If you have
the original ASA install CD, you can go into the " PhysicalArchitect\Se
tup"
directory and run the setup from there.

Do you have an SQLAnywhere Studio CD or do you just have the Developer
Edition?
If just the DevEd, you will need to download the evaluation version of
PowerDesigner as a separate download from SQLAnywhere (from the same
page of the download links for SQLAnywhere and its docs...if you didn't
download the eval, simply sign up for the DevEd again using the same
email address).
