current version 9 maintenance release version/ build number

A customer just emailed me describing a problem where her ASA9 server seems
to go into an endless loop during a backup event. They are running
9.0.2.2542. I want her to be on the lastest Maintenance release.
Yet, I found that I could not tell at the EBF/Maintenance site what is the
latest Maintenance release. I can tell the major release version (9.0.2),
but not the build number.
How can I determine the latest Maintenance release version without actually
downloading the software?
Thanks,
Doug

The latest build number is the EBF number, which is 3124. 9.0.2 *is*
the latest maintenance release.

It's listed on the download page.

| All I see regarding a version is "9.0.x to 9.0.2" I do not see the buiild
mentioned anywhere for maintenance versions.

| If you scroll down to the "Windows x86" section, that was
what i was referring to. I had assumed that you were using
Windows.
If you are using Sun Solaris (for example), then the 9.0.x
to 9.0.2 is all that is available.

| Entries for initial releases do not include the build number; i.e.,
"9.0.2" is the earliest build for version 9.0.2.
Anything with a build number listed "9.0.2.xxxx" is *later* than the
entry without a build number "9.0.2"; i.e., these two EBFs are both
later than the version your customer is using:
SQL Anywhere Studio - Express Bug Fix, Update of 9.0.2 to build 3044
SQL Anywhere Studio - Express Bug Fix, Update of 9.0.2 to build 2551
I agree that the build number of the initial releases should be
included in the titles; it would eliminate confusion in the (rare)
cases where an EBF is downloaded before being removed from the
website... then you don't know if you are running the initial release
or a later EBF.

| Okay, to clarify then, maintenance releases are only released once for a
particular version? I wanted to upgrade earlier this week to an EBF that
was apparently older than the posted MR (but still listed as a valid EBF).
I didn't trust that the posted MR wouldn't bump me past the EBF and managed
to find an "older copy" of the MR.

Yes, an MR (9.0.1, 9.0.2, ...) is only released once. EBFs are
installed overtop of the associated MR. So if you want to install EBF
9.0.2.3044 to an existing 9.0.1 install, you must first apply MR 9.0.2
and then apply the 3044 EBF. So no 9.0.2 EBF will be "older" than the
9.0.2 MR.
Even though 9.0.2 is released, we still release EBFs for older versions
that are still in "active" or "limited" support:

Hope this helps,

| Ack, sorry. Looks like i got confused by the asian 9.0.2 MR's having been
released so recently, didn't see the language and thought it had been
re-released for some reason.
