How do I get past these error messages?

The following error message boxes (complete with double negative
"Cannot not load") appear whenever Sybase Central is started after an
upgrade to 9.0.2:

=====
Assertion Failure
Cannot not load ianywhere/ml/jdbcodbc/IIStatement
File 'jdbcodbc\c\nativeob
j.c' at line #507
Aborting execution...
Yes No
=====

=====
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Sybase\SQL Anywhere 9\win32\dbisqlg.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an
unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.
=====

Turns out, it's a really good idea to shut down the MobiLink server
before installing a new version of SQL Anywhere Studio...

....doh! :)
