| Running ASA 8.0.2 on Windows 2000/SP4
When I start the database service, I see the following message:
' Note: Server cache size is too small for database "Vital2" '
The database file is approximately 10GB. The server has 1.5GB of RAM,
and Sybase is the only application running in the server. The service
uses these startup parameters:
-ti 480
-x tcpip
-c 768M
-n Apollo2
c:\database\MYDB.db
-n Vital2
Will this message go away by simply increasing the "-c" parameter, or is
there some other database configuration / default that needs to change?
If a bigger -c is the answer, is there a formula that gives rule of
thumb guidance between the physical size of the database and the -c
parameter?
TIA
