Has anyone successfully used the InstallShield Merge Modules
to create an OEM installation of ASA? When I try to load any
of the .ism files in InstallShield, I get error -6016.

What version of InstallShield are you using?

A Google search indicates that this could be caused by the files being set
to readonly. Make sure that they are not marked readonly.

I'm using InstallShield X Express version 10.0.

I'm actually evaluating this version because I just can't
seem to get a clean OEM install with Wise Installer, which
is what I've always used. I followed the instructions in the
Books-on-line and whitepaper but I keep getting errors
trying to run MobiLink, Sybase Central, and Interactive SQL.
The ASA server component, ODBC, and client components load
fine.

Yea, I saw that too. They're not read-only.

I don't know much about InstallShield Express, but doing some Google
Groups searches I found:

Does this help at all?

We have just distributed our 2nd release of our in-house software using the
9.02 Merge Modules, IS X (Installscript (MSI Project). It worked fine (even
sybase central !!)

If you require any further info/tips please contact me.
