Hello,

Can I move from Windows to Linux and use the same license
(I suppose not?)? If no, can I change/upgrade/crossgrade
the license? Or, for example, if I have ASA8 for Windows,
can I upgrade to ASA9 for Linux? How much does it cost
approximately?

Thanks,
Nerijus

I believe that you can use an upgrade to move from one platform to
another assuming similar architecture configuration (e.g. same number of
CPUs), but to be completely sure (and get an "official" answer) you
should speak with an iAnywhere/Sybase sales rep:

A SQL Anywhere Studio for Windows will provide you Windows software and
license within the box.
Similarly, A SQL Anywhere Studio for Linux will get you Linux software and
license within the box.
So you will need to get additional software (and license). I am not sure of
the upgrade license cost as it
depends on the type of license(s) you are using. So you should speak with
your Sales Rep as these
folks are the experts in licensing. I do not believe, that SQL Anywhere
additional license kits specify
a platform/operating system and may work to your advantage. In lieu of
contacting sales, you could email
