I have a box for sybase ASA v.9 with the sticker "linux" on the front and
the media for linux enclosed. Does this media include the 64 bit version of
ASA and the 32 bit for linux? If not, how do I go about getting the 64 bit
version? I would like to use ASA in 64 bit mode if possible on an AMD
opteron environment

One more question. Is 64 bit Opteron, not Itaniumn, supported? Thanks for
any help.

When you say "64bit version", what hardware are you wanting - IA64 or
AMD64/EM64T?

What version of ASA v.9 do you have? The 9.0.0 and 9.0.1 Linux CDs should have
both the x86 and IA64 Linux installations.

If your hardware is AMD64/EM64T (aka x86-64) then you can install the x86
(32bit)
version now to get started since 9.0.0/1 does not provide 64bit versions of ASA.
9.0.2 Linux will ship with 64bit x86-64 engine & client s/w support as well as
the
currently supported x86 and ia64 s/w.
