Author dbsrv9 develop edition -> database server license agreement

Hello,
I have installed the asa 902.2452 development version on a Linux Red-Hat
machine. Configured PHP to use it and installed the service scripts as
described in the technical notes. All work fine, but......
When I start the databaseserver using command service <databaseservice>
start dbsrv9 always comes with the licence agreement and I have to answer
that by Y to go on. Is there a way (besides buying a license) to surpress
the question?
I am still in developing an Sybase application and for this it is nessecary
to restart servers a lot of time. Now I always have to start the
databaseserver manualy where it can be started automaticly.

No, there is really no way of bypassing the license agreement...
except if you are running from a X-Window desktop, you could set your
DISPLAY environment prior to running dbsrv9 and the developer edition
should then just show a splash screen on your desktop for ten seconds
and then auto disappear.

If, however, you somehow did not install the developer edition correctly
(i.e. you did not provide the license key), then what you really have
is an "evaluation" copy, and the eval will always prompt for an answer.

Check the text of the license to determine if you are running an eval
or a dev.ed.

Try this:

# echo Y | service <databaseservice> start

-- or --

# echo Y | (path to asa9)/bin/dbsrv9 <parameters> <database>

Modify initialization script (databaseservice) if needed.

ps: Make sure you have the license key. Otherwise, register your copy. ;-)
