Author Please vote on suggestions

If you see a suggestion you like, it is VERY IMPORTANT for you to post
a response, even if it just says "I agree."

If nobody posts any responses, it is easy to assume "only one person
wants this".

However, if TWO people say thay want it, it probably means at least
ten or twenty or more people agree but are too shy to post, and those
folks represent a hundred or more people who don't even read the
newsgroup.

So... you represent hundreds of other people, so vote! <g>

Makes sense, however posts like "I agree" or "Me too" are usually
frowned upon ;).

From what I've seen in other NG's, that is true when discussing
technical issues, but when posting bugs and enhancement suggestions,
most companies like "Me, too" posts, to help them gauge the level of
interest in the different bugs and requests.

Not here, though... I have actually heard it said "we are reluctant to
implement something if only one person has asked for it".

Maybe everyone should stop voting until someone in product management
or engineering have responded.

Threads with only 'I Agree' votes on them look like threads that have been
responded to already and potentially run the great risk of being totally
ignored
by anyone who could maybe be important to the process.

Please feel free to vote, but on the thread as it matures, not on the
initial posting.

ISUG - http://www.isug.com has an enhacments process
(http://my.isug.com/index.php?module=issues&op=index) already in place.
Anyone who attended ISUG this year is automatically a member. If not, it
is only $75 and you get access to the enhacments section, in addition
to the presentations from techwave amoung other usefull things.

My last posting should not have implied product management would not
be listening. In fact I know they do moderate this newsgroup and
pay attention to everything said here.

I am more concerned for other folks who often add a lot of experience.
help flesh out discussions with you and help to add clarity.

FWIW there are a grand total of six entries in the ISUG enhancements
section for SQL Anywhere Studio. IMO that's not the place to post
suggestions, *this* newsgroup is... easier to use, gets the attention
of iAnywhere management... and certainly cheaper :)
