Sybase Central is suffering from some of the same usability problems
that afflict Word 2003... a menu and toolbar and wizard structure that
is collapsing under its own weight... folks can't find stuff, or they
can't remember where they found it. 9 out of 10 requests for new
features in Word are already *in* the product.
It's not Sybase Central's fault, or Word's fault... they both follow
generally accepted design standards. It's the standards that need
questioning.
Office 12 is introducing a whole new approach... maybe it's great,
maybe it sucks, but it's worth looking at.

| Sybase central is being duplicated with workspace, both trying to serve the
same purpose.
I think the efforts are being scattered across products that it doesn't
provide one interface with all of the features and flexibilities a database
& application programmer would like (ex:editor, response windows to see
permissions of users & group).

| Does the Workspace version of Sybase Central have anything at all to
do with SQL Anywhere, or is it just an ASE thing?
