Anybody know if iAnywhere/Sybase is going to allow us to set the Font and
Font Style under the proc/trig editor in Jasper?
I hate editing in this Times New Roman style Font.
Give us the flexibility to change it to whatever we see fit.
<sarcasm on> or is that to hard to do in a Java development environment ;-)

| I am seeing Courier in v9, and for the *life* of me I can't find where
to specify it... but I think I *did* that at some point... Chris?

| Hey Breck,
Found the comment you made to me back in December of 2003....
"Have a look at your c:\windows\. SybaseCentralEditor4
2 file; in my copy
it says "Monospaced" as below, maybe that's the trick:"
I went into this file and changed the font to "Tahoma".
That kind of did the trick. The only problem is that when I set some of my
Text Highlighting to Bold, the cursor ends up not being placed in the right
location. It's almost like it thinks its at the end of the line, but it
ends up in the middle of the last word, or way off to the right of the word
like its off by 2 or 3 characters in width.
Sybase still needs to enhance this. It would make my day a little brighter.
;-)
Any info on this Chris???

I strongly supprot this. I also expressed my wish to set fonts to my linkings. I HATE fonts with serifs. I alsways use things like Letter Gothic, Elite or those new to Windows ones like Lucida ...
Let's hope ...

| I agree. I *thought* there was a way to do this, but apparently a
recent enhancement only applies to the font used to display result
sets.

I really don't know what you are talking about, guys :)
I've never, I mean NEVER EVER edited my procs in Sybase Central - there are
tons of editors out there (even Notepad allows to change the font; although
highlighting SQL procs is cruicial and this piece of software does not
support this).
I've seen some folks editing procs in Sybase Central but I never understand
them - changing the font is only a drop of water in the ocean. Choosing
which words to highlight and which not, choosing colors, using sophisticated
cursor and line highlights and italics / bolding in a single proc would take
a long time to implement into Sybase Central.
Although, doing everything in one single place could be a significant
benefit.
