SQL Remote tutorial error

| Hi,
I'm getting an error trying to complete the SQL Remote
tutorial from the SQL Remote manual.
When I want to start replicating using 'dbremote', I get
this error :
SQL statement failed: (-75) Request to start/stop database
denied
E. 08/11 09:15:44. Error connecting to database
The server is started with -gd all -gk all option, the HQ db
is running on this server.
I am using Adaptive Server Anywhere 8.0.3.5267
Anyone has any ideas.

| Can you show the exact command you used to start the database engine ( and
mount the HQ database ) as well as the dbremote command line you used.

| I had the same problem as you, found the problem was resolved by shutting down
other ASA db's we had running on the server (even though ports assigned to the
other db's were checked and were correctly assigned), then restarting the db
which we needed dbremote to connect to.
In future when rebooting our server we will only have our production db start
automatically, test db's will need to be manually started.
