Hi all,

I have set up one consolidated database and 2 remote databases, and I have
started the SQL remote in continuous mode.
There is a process (say process A) which is easily failed when it is not
properly set up before running, Therefore, I do a backup on the consolidated
database, shutdown all SQL remotes (by clicking the Shutdown button) and run
process A.
If process A completed successfully, I can then restart all SQL remotes and
the changes made during process A can be replicated to those remote
databases. But if process A failed, I only have to restore the consolidated
database as the remote databases is not modified with the SQL remote
shutdown.

Now my problem is, how to automate this shutdown and restart process of SQL
remote? I'm using ASA 7.03. Thanks in advance.

Please do not crosspost.

I have already replied to this post in the sybase.public.sqlanywhere.general
newsgroup. You are correct that this would be the better newsgroup for
further SQL Remote questions.
