As per docs and newsgroup postings everyone says best way to keep usm and consolidated database structurally identical is to unload using ulinit .. question is how does this work with indexes ?

Can we do the same .. create on consolidated and then automatically transferred down into usm.

One way to be sure is to create the USM file with "ulinit", and then
translate that to XML using "ulconv" or "ulxml" utilities and check the
contents of the XML file to see if the index exists.

Alternatively, you can open the .USM with the UL Schema Painter to see
if the index exists.

I notice a lack of documentation on this subject (i.e. ulinit and
indexes). I will post a docs enhancement request.

Maybe someone from the UL team can clarify when an index gets migrated
via ulinit ??
