Author 9.0.2.3137 dbasinst deploy

Hi
I need to deploy our pocketpc application on machines that do not have sql
anywhere installed. I've copied dbasinst.exe, dbasdesk.dll, and dbasdev.dll
to the ActiveSync\<Application> directory.

ActiveSync 3.8 is installed as well.

When I run dbasinst -n -k <path>\dbasdesk -v <path>\dbasdev.dll on the
target desktop all I see is the version number
9.0.2.3137. In ActiveSync I see the icon for Mobilink but no title (e.g.
'Database App').

On a machine with all of ASA installed I get messages when I run the same
commands.

Am I missing a resource dll or something ?
Thanks
Dave Joyner

Can you have a read through this whitepaper to see if you have missed
any steps.

You also need the language dll. The English one is dblgen9.dll and it can
be found in the win32 directory of your SQL Anywhere install.

In case someone else runs into this dblgen9.dll from the win32 directory is
needed.

I have posted a documentation enhancement request as I wasn't able to
find a page identifying all of the required components.

Thanks for posting back to let us know!
