Author Sybase 8.02/Ultralite and the Palm LifeDrive

I have run into strange crashes on the Palm lifedrive with my product.
The crash always happens on re-entering the app. I suspect it has to do
with the DbCache and the NVFS on the Lifedrive. I have a couple of
questions around this problem.
1. Will moving to the latest Sybase version(9?) fix this?
2. Can I use my exiting version(8.02) but have the ultralite Db created
as file instead of record-based? Will this fix the problems with the
DbCache/NVFS?
3. To have the Db as a file (using ULEnableFileDB) do I have to do
anything special when running Ulgen? Or a simple change to call
ULEnableFileDB will do the trick?

Any help will be highly appreciated.
