We are using sybase sql anywhere 9.0.2 with codewarrior 8.0.1 with palm
tungsten E2 and modem bluetooth socket cordless 56 Kbps. when the
synchronization is for cradle takes a long time 30 seconds but if I
synchronize with modem takes a long time 40 minutes. I have observed that
when the conduit of the mobile application begins in the hotsync of the
computer takes a long time 10 minutes so that it begins to pass information
the mobilink and when it finishes passing the the I finish block takes a
long time as 10 minutes more, it is as if to get up and to lower the base
remote taken a lot of time.
Somebody knows that could make to improve this time that is a great problem

Do you know how much data is being synchronized during this time?
If you start ML using -vcrsn -ot ml.txt, the [n] tells the ML server to
include the row count for each table, that should give us a better idea
of just how much data you are transferring.

56 kbps is a very slow line. When cradled you can use HotSync and a
serial connection so you really can't compare the two.
