Although, you DO need to save the .pdb file and include it in your
deployment if you want to deploy on Palm. So, you need to have 2 folders
for your database file, one for testing within VS .Net and another one
for deploying to Palm and switch depending on what you want to do.

Yes, but when you save it as a PDB, it becomes tutcustomer.pdb (or
tutcustomer.usm.pdb) and the desktop version of the schema file is
tutcustomer.usm (and the database would be tutcustomer.udb). Am I missing
something? There should be no collision of filenames. When running in the
IDE, UL doesn't look at the DatabaseOnPalm and SchemaOnPalm parameters at
all. They are only observed when running on Palm. Similarly,
DatabaseOnDesktop and SchemaOnDesktop are only used by the runtime when the
app's running on the desktop (and are completely ignored on device).
