I running 9.0.2.3044.

I'm trying to get hotysnc working on a machine that doesn't have ASA
installed. I must be missing some dll's or exe's but can't figure out
which ones. I have the following files installed:

installedir\win32\db
cond9.exe
installedir\win32\db
con9.dll
installedir\win32\db
hsync9.dll
installedir\win32\db
lgen9.dll
installedir\win32\db
mlhttp9.dll
installedir\win32\db
mlhttps9.dll
installedir\win32\db
mlsock9.dll
installedir\win32\db
mltls9.dll
installedir\win32\db
tool9.dll
installedir\win32\co
ndmgr\condmgr.dll

I have my path set to installdir\win32. I can run dbcond9.exe and it
adds an registry entry but nothing shows up when you go to custom on the
hotsync manager menu. If I try the same thing on a mchine with ASA
installed it all works fine. Any ideas what I'm missing

Thanks

It doesn't make a difference if I restart the hotsync manager. Yes, the
installdir is in the path.

It looks like a path problem as well as timing. I am using Inno Setup 5
install tool (shareware) which allows you to set the Path variable but
it doesn't take until the machine is rebooted. If the path is already
set before I run the installer, which runs dbcond9, then it all works
fine. What I don't want to do is have to run the installer, then
reboot, and then run dbcond9. Any ideas how to handle this situation?
What installer do most client use for deploying apps? They must have to
do the same thing if they are running palm apps?

Can you specify the full path for dbcond9.exe so it can run during the
install, before the path is set? Then all your install steps would be
complete before the reboot. dbcond9 shouldn't need the path set itself,
since the files it needs are in the same directory.

Tim, that won't work because dbcond9 uses condmgr.dll in the condmgr
directory (win32\condmgr) in order to register the conduit with the
hotsync manager. I was able to execute SendMessageTimeout()
method to
windows, which tells windows the environment has changed and to pull in
those changes to the running process. Thanks for the help.
