Which ODBC driver (please include version number) are you using to connect
the MobiLink server to the Oracle server? Is it on the recommended list
located at http://www.ianywhere.com/developer/...c_mobilink.html ?

What is the version of the Oracle server you are connecting to?

This was introduced by accident in build 3021, and was fixed in 3097. A new
902 EBF is currently the highest priority in our QA department, so we should
see a v902 EBF shortly. This problem only affects those using an Oracle8i
consolidated with the 4.20.00.81 ODBC driver BTW.

For now, you'll need to downgrade the ML server to a build before 902.3021
(902.2551 is available for download).

Just in the off-chance, do you have a
modify_next_last_dow
nload_timestamp synchronization script defined in
the consolidated for the particular script version you are synchronizing?

No it's not necessary to have one, but creating one might be a workaround to
your current problem until the next 902 EBF comes out.

Do you have an example of that type of script??
Thanks a lot.

There's a good sample in the docs already.

MobiLink Administration Guide
Synchronization Events
modify_next_last_dow
nload_timestamp connection event

In your situation, a NULL value will probably be passed in as the first
parameter, so just set the value of the first parameter (it's an INOUT
parameter) to CURRENT TIMESTAMP and I think it will work around your
problem.

Unfortunately using a modify_next_last_dow
nload_timestamp, since the
timestamp will still not be sent down with that release.

The options are:

1. Revert to an earlier build of MobiLink.
2. Wait for the next 902 EBF.
3. Switch from Oracle 8i to 9i or 10g.

Note that Oracle 8i was desupported by Oracle on 31 Dec 2004.

Cheers,

Graham

Drat, Graham is right. The event isn't called if we don't successfully get
the next last download timestamp originally. My claim that it would pass in
a NULL value is false.
