Author Running dbmlsync as NT service in command line

v8.0.2
I'd like to know if I can run dbmlsync as an NT service via
command line. I don't want to install Sybase Central on our
customer site but I want to be able to setup the database
server as an NT service. If so, how do I send dependency?
ML needs to depend on the Sybase Database server service.

The dbsvc command line utility will do this.

[802][d:\bld\db.802]dbsvc /?
Adaptive Server Anywhere Service Utility Version 8.0.2.4519
Usage: dbsvc [options] -d <svc> delete a service
or dbsvc [-q] -g <svc> get details of a service
or dbsvc [-q] -l list all ASA services
or dbsvc [creation options] -w <svc> <Details> create service

Options (use specified upper- or lower-case letter, as shown):
-q do not print banner
-y delete or overwrite service without confirmation
Creation options (use specified upper- or lower-case letter, as shown):
-a <acct> account name to use
-as use local system account
-i allow service to interact with desktop
-p <password> password for account (with -a)
-rg <deps>,... service group dependencies
-rs <deps>,... service dependencies
-s <startup> startup option (default Manual)
Automatic, Manual, Disabled
-t <type> type of service (default Standalone)
Network, Standalone, DBRemote, MobiLink, DBMLSync

Details: <full exe path> [options]

One of -a and -as is required if -w is used.

The answer to this is the same as the one you asked in the general
newsgroups about running dbsrv as a service: use the "dbsvc"
command-line utility.

Hope this helps,
