I am trying to get the CustDB sample to syncronize with my Palm OS device,
but keep getting this error:

---
HotSync operation started 07/21/05 14:21:03
OK Date Book
OK Address Book
OK To Do List
OK Memo Pad
OK Voice
FAIL Adaptive Server Anywhere Conduit (SQLCODE = -82) 07/21/05 14:21:05
Unable to start specified database: STATE RESTORE 07/21/05 14:21:05
---

When I test the code in MobilVB I can run the palm app and sync.... but
after installing it on the palm device I cant get it to hot sync.

Anyone help with this error??

I suspect CustDB when it was last run on the Palm device indicated it
wanted to sync via TCPIP and not via HotSync. Which means it probably
did not setup the synch_info parameters correctly on exit.

Start CustDB and check the menu options around synchronization.

I made sure to select HotSync under options on the palm
app... but now I am getting a different error:

FAIL Adaptive Server Anywhere Conduit (SQLCODE = -956)
07/22/05 14:37:49
Information for synchronization is incomplete or invalid,
check
'user_name' 07/22/05 14:37:49

When running in mobilVB i select TCPIP sync and it works
fine.

I am starting Mobilink with this line:
"C:\Program Files\Sybase\SQL Anywhere 9\win32\dbmlsrv9.exe"
-vcrs -zu+ -c "dsn=UltraLite 9.0 Sample"

Well, a different error usually means progress :-)

When you first launched the application, it prompted you for a user
name, what did you provide?

What are all the settings you choose from the menu for setting up
synchronization?

After installing the app onto my palm device, I ran the
CustDB app and entered and employee id = 50

In the palm app under menu 'Options' is a menu item named
'Options'... this is where I selected HotSync by tapping the
HotSync radio button

The program responds to this with a Msgbox "There are no
products defined. Please synchronize....."

I am using version 9.0.2.3131 (Mobilink/ASA)

I am using the CustDb sample found in C:\Program
Files\Sybase\SQL
Anywhere 9\Samples\UltraLiteF
orMobileVB\CustDB
