What does this message mean? What does it indicate?

<Background Thread>: Disconnected from consolidated database

Here are two examples, plus by a "normal" server shutdown for
comparison.

long delay after synch complete.

The -ct switch is working.

OK, thanks. The default is in effect here (60 minutes)

Are those connections automatically re-established if a sync is
performed?

The Help is silent on the implications of -ct. The client is trying to
determine why dbmlsrv9 is terminating unexpectedly, and is asking if
these "background thread" messages are benign or not.

Yes, as needed.

> The Help is silent on the implications of -ct.

It seemed a little odd to me at first but the text
of the message

"Disconnected from consolidated database"

maps directly to the help file definition

"MobiLink database connections that go unused for
a specified amount of time are freed by the server"

It is absolutely and completely, albeit tersely, described in
that one sentence (alone).

The terseness aside, the problem I always have is identifying
which connection it is/was that is being disconnected. Since
it is a pooled phenomena and not always mappable to the
ML thread, that part is often subtle.

I can, all but, guarantee you that it is never the one that is
associated with messages immediately before and/or after
this one. In your case, it is not going to be associated with
thread <1.4>'s end_connection event, but something that
ended 1 minute (or one -ct interval) earlier.
