We have recently upgraded a consolidated database from 8.03 to
9.02.3044 and now receive a mobilink error message when doing a
synchronisation "unable to convert xxxxx to uniqueidentifier". The
remote database is currently on 8.03.5122. This site worked fine when
both remote and consolidated were on 8.03.

We have other sites with remote database at 9.02.3044 talking to a
9.02.3044 consolidated and they do not have any problems so it looks
like it is only a remote 8.03 talking to a consolidate 9.02 that has
errors.

We had to roll the consolidated back to 8.03 whilst we investigate the
problem. This site has 22 remote databases and we do plan to upgrade
them to 9.02 but we wanted to phase this in. So it is critical that we
get a 8.03 remote communicating with a 9.02 consolidated.

Is this a known error? Are there any workarounds or suggested
solutions. Any suggested solutions etc greatly appreciated.

An 8.0.3 remove should communicate to a 9.0.2 server without issue. I
suggest opening a case with iAnywhere Technical Support as this is a
production system issue:

You haven't stated what the particular synchronization error is, so it
is hard to give any other feedback.
