Deploying Mobilink (ActiveSync) Provider

| Version 9.0.2.3249. (Win32 + WM5 + UL.NET)
I'm having trouble finding out how to deploy the Mobilink
provider for activesync.
I'm not speaking of how to run the dbasinst utility. I got
that part wired.
The question is what files, registry entries, environment
variables, etc are required in order to run the dbasinst
utility and the subsequent synchronizations?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Did you read this section of the 9.0.2 Help file:

It specificially references ActiveSync:

| Yes, I looked there and have attempted to use those exact
files as listed with no success. What I'm deploying is not
technically an ASA Mobilink Client. I'm using an UL.NET
client on WM5 which will synchronize through ActiveSync on
the desktop.
You would also expect to find deployment information at...

....but instead you find how to use the dbasinst.exe tool
which can help you deploy to the device but how did
dbasinst.exe get on to the desktop machine in the first
place? and what does it depend upon?
I've found through trial and error that dbasdesk.dll and
dbasdev.dll are required and that dbasinst.exe depends upon
an environment variable called ASANY9.
Currently, it appears that dbasinst.exe works but when I go
to synchronize (just ping) I can't. On a machine with the
full SQL Anywhere Studio installed it works fine. So I'm
missing a file or something. Any ideas?

| This doc deficiency has already been pointed out to us and will be
corrected in the Jasper docs.
In 90, you need the following files to run dbasinst:
dbasinst.exe
dbasdesk.dll
dbasdev.dll
dblgen9.dll
You don't need any environment variables, but if ASA has not been
installed, then you'll need to use the '-k' and '-v' options on
dbasinst.exe to locate dbasdesk.dll and dbasdev.dll.
To do a sync through ActiveSync, you need to have the proper sync stream
dll for the type of sync being done somewhere in the path. One of:
dbmlsock9.dll
dbmlhttp9.dll
dbmlhttps9.dll
dbmlrsa9.dll
dbmltls9.dll
dbmlrsafips9.dll
dbmlhttpsfips9.dll
