Author Trying to setup connectivity through LDAP

Hi,

We are trying to setup Sybase ASE 12.5.2 to use Active
Directory on Windows 2003 using LDAP.

The documents available in Sybase are very general. I would
appreciate if someone out there, who has used this for
connectivity, could help us.

The following are the parameters :

Servername : nettest
Port : 389 (default)

If these are the variables, should the entries in libtcl.cfg
look like :

LDAP=LIBDLDAP ldap://nettest:389/dc=sybase,dc=com

and should this be under the section

[DIRECTORY]

We tried doing this and the dsedit still goes to the
interfaces driver.

I would appreciate any help in setting this up. Thanks.

Elangovan,

Not sure if it will help or not, but on www.try.sybase.com there is a demo
using ASE 12..5.2 with LDAP authintcation. It is on linux, not windows but
it may help you.
