I would guess it is a 64bit ASE.

There is no "32-bit ASE 15 for 64-bit Solaris". There is just 32-bit ASE
and 64-bit ASE. The 32-bit ASE will run on 64-bit Solaris.

That sounded like a contradiction.

I suppose you meant that BOTH 32-bit ASE and 64-bit ASE are for 64-bit
Solaris SPARC ... and that there is no ASE binary for 32-bit Solaris.

Not at all.

32-bit ASE for Solaris SPARC will run on either 32-bit Solaris or 64-bit
Solaris.
It was not released specificially for one or the other. This works because
Sun wrote in compatibility for running 32bit applications on 64-bit Solaris.

64-bit ASE for Solaris SPARC will run only on 64-bit Solaris. (unless someone
has gone
to the trouble of writing some kind of emulator).
