Author ASA 9.0 SQL-Error -98 Authentication violation

Hello,
I've got a problem with Adaptive Server Anywhere (ASA)
Version 9.0
installed on Windows XP Home Edition (5.1.2600).
I've started a personal database server with the command:
DBENG9 -N "RepDBServ".
Then I opened "Sybase Central" (4.2.0.2018) and created a
new database.
After that I've connected the database to the database
server as user
'DBA'. That works fine. But when I try to make any changes
to the
database (such as create a new user or table) this message
appears:

[Sybase][ODBC Driver][Adaptive Server Anywhere] Unable to
connect to
database server: Authentication violation.
SQLCODE: -98
SQLSTATE: 08001

In the manual I've found this explanation:
Probable cause:
You attempted to connect to a server which has been
authenticated for
exclusive use with a specific application.

Does anybody know what to do?

I also opened the ODBC Administrator and created a new
User-DSN, but
this doesn't work either.

Thanks a lot for any help

Thomas

You probably want to post this to sybase.public.sqlanywhere.general
instead of here in the ASE group.
