Hi,

My problem is that I would like to check the connection
status of a direct_connect connection to an Oracel DB, which
is sometimes offline, in SQL. Unfortunately I couldnt find a
function or sp which does that :(

I would appreciate help

thx

alexander

ps: another solution would be if it would be possible to
catch a raiserror in sql without throwing an exception to
the calling java application. I tried @@error, which I can
catch, but unfortunately the exception is shown in the
application anyway. I suppose the problem might be the jdbc
driver
