Installing ASE 12.5.3 with the latest EBF on a HP Proliant ML370 running
Windows 2003 Server.

This server has 2 physical cpu's and from the bit I have read it can be
configure to run 4 virtual cpu's using HyperThreading. How many Sybase
engines can I safely configure to run on this box.

Thanks

Well, you have two cpus. For some OLTP servers have an engine for each
virtual cpu increases performance but generally it hurts performance.
Your best bet is to benchmark your applications with both 2 and 4 cpus.
