Well, you could do it that way if running against [mumble 7.4 right?]
or up, and fall back to the current method for earlier versions.
Sort of ugly to code and maintain, though. Maybe keep this as a
limitation until 7.3 is dropped?

I remember when computers were frustrating because they *did* exactly what
