Sybase IQ and SAN storage

| Does IQ have performance issues working on SAN storage? We
have an IQ class from Sybase and the instructor said that IQ
has problems working with SAN storage. That is hard to
imagine as 90% of shops are using mass storage, especially
for data warehousing. Does this sound correct? He said it
is more a performance issue and that there is a white paper
on how to P&T for SAN storage, but I did not find it on
sybase.com under white papers. Any response?

The instructor is incorrect. IQ works very well with SAN storage when
properly planned and configured.
