Can't to start IQ server
|
|
|
| Hello All,
I made changes on database parameters: Main_Cache_Memory_MB
(600) and Temp_Cache_Memory_MB
(1024), after that i restart IQ database, but it is unable to start.
I get such an error:
--
E. 03/24 17:55:19. Error: All available virtual memory has been used; allocation cancelled: [Extra info: 67112959]
E. 03/24 17:55:19. -- (hos_mem.cxx 348)
--
I try to use -iqmc 16M and -iqtc 16M, but the error is still the same.
OS-Windows 2003; Sybase IQ12.6; RAM-4GB.
Please help me.

Just as a check, did you mean "-iqmc 16 and -iqtc 16"? I think
IQ will ignore the option if there is a letter (like "16M") there.
I am unfamiliar with Windows 2003, but if the suggestion above
isn't the problem, in both Windows NT and Windows 2000, when I
got an "All available virtual memory has been used" error I
sometimes had to reboot the server to get it working correctly
again.
