We are currently working on project where we are replacing
Sybase ASE with Sybase IQ as our data source. In our
existing application, we are connecting Sybase ASE (Adaptive
server enterprise) from C++ application. The execution of
query and the retrieval of data were faster using ct-lib
functions like ct_send() and ct_get_data(). When we use the
same function against Sybase IQ ,the retrieval is much
slower.
We have some questions regarding performance issue in IQ.

1. What could be the reason for slow performance in Sybase
IQ?

2. Is there any specific settings that we should do in IQ to
improve performance for client-server queries from C++?

3. Is there any different way of using the Sybase specific
functions for IQ for improved performance?
