Author Multiplex on same server in DEV

our DEV environment right now is a single server running
windows 2003. in production we plan to multiplex IQ across
two servers, one for the reader node and one for the query
node. here is the question; can we setup/install multiplex
on the one server in DEV (which has multiple CPU's)?? and if
so will there be any material differences between
multiplexing on one server vs. two servers?

yes, you can. the difference is that:
node on seperate machine, the IQSTORE device should be raw device
none on one machine, you can also use filesystem
