Author Runaway queries in IQ 12.5.0

We have a problem with queries which appear to be chewing up
the entire TEMP DB space then just hanging. We are unable to
clear the offending queries and our only solution is to
bounce the IQ instance. Is anyone experiencing similar
problems and if so is there a fix for this. I can't find any
patch for this in +12.5 EBF's etc.
also we don't have any monitor / report tool for IQ as yet.
Any recommendations ??
