EAServer 5.2 ODBC Warning
|
|
|
| Hy,
when we start our EAServer Service to load Data from Database we get the
following Errormessage:
Mrz 22 15:50:51 2005: WARNING! - ODBC driver for connection cache
'ent-gamma1-archiv-r' does not support transactions!
With our old EAServer 4.1.3 this works fine. What have changed with EAServer
5.2 ?
Any Idea?

| I know that EAServer switched from ODBC 2.0 to ODBC 3.0 calls and that
caused at least one problem with backward compatibliity in PB
components. I'm not sure if this is the same type of thing, but it
likely warrants a call to support. What ODBC driver are you using?

| I have changed our ODBC Driver from 2.10.17 to 3.0.1 and the same Warning.
The Components do not respond then.

| You misunderstood, changing the version of your ODBC driver wouldn't
(and shouldn't) have an effect on the problem.

| We use ODBC Driver from Oracle for RDB.

| My recommendation is to pursue this with support. The version of ODBC
is supposed to be transparent. Even though EAServer went to ODBC 3.0,
if your driver is downlevel, the ODBC system dlls should account for
that.
