Hi !

I have a cluster with Jag 5.2 (Two machines). The question
is If a Jaguar it is down =bf Is it transpararent the
reconexion to the other Jaguar ?

Yes but you will need to mark the components as "Automatic Failover".

This should work fine with stateless components but stateful components
will not work without consideration as to how you are going to handle
any stored data.

That depends. Is EAServer being used for IIOP, or HTML hosting?

The failover will be transparent - mostly. First the connection to the
first server will time out, and this can take up to 30 seconds. Once
this happens, the failover is automatic.

I think you both read into his question. He does not need failover turned on
for the ORB to know to connect to a second server. He does not even need
them to be clustered. If he specifies both servers as name servers the HA
should connect him to an up server.

The failover will only play into a lost connection during an execution. or
if he has state he needs to fail over.

If he is simply needing his client to find an up server he can specify
multiple name servers in the ORB.
