| We have this A2K DB (say called "source") that is in a restricted area
of the network. It is password protected and is only available to a
limited number of users who have full rights.
What we want is to have a copy of this ( called "Receiver") which is
available to all on a common drive and is not password protected. The
copy would be emasculated ie have the toolbars and tables hidden etc
and would be effectively read-only. It needs only to be updated once a
day.
Given that the Source is password protected and has 4 linked tables, is
it best to have "Source" export to "Receiver" via macros or allow
Receiver initiate the import process via macros.
As the tables are linked presumably they can't be deleted so is it
better to just append the latest data to each in turn or, clear the
contents of all tables and then append all the contents of each table
to its respective counterpart?
Thanks
