Form Export Of Data Question...

We have a requirement to enable the end-user to modify data via a form (ODBC
to Teradata), and export the data off the form into either an *.xls or *.csv
file for re-import back into the Teradata environment.
This seems to work fine off the form building dropdowns and using the
file/export/*.xls option off the main menu.
However, any field that is displayed on the form, based on another form or
subform (embeded) does not pass the data out to the *.xl file.
Only single fields are sent to the *.xls file.

Our goal is to duplicate a web-based application, used to collect
information , as much as possible from a *local* application when our users
are not able to connect to our intranet.

Any ideas on a solution, or possibly a better discussion group to post the
thpe of question to.
