The new ISP has given a connection at 115000 Kbps and this has a connection
for a Serial port. When I use it in my desktop PC with WinXP it is able to
install the software and connect effectively. But when I try it in a Laptop
with WinXP, it does NOT recognise the Serial Port!
What could be the problem???
Thanking you

This newsgroup is for questions about interacting with the internet using
Access, the database product that's part of Office Professional.

It's not clear to me what exactly you're asking about, but it doesn't seem
to have anything to do with Access. You'll probably be better off asking in
a newsgroup related to WinXP, or asking your ISP.

As Doug says elsewhere in this thread, this really isn't the best place for
this question. Before you go looking for a more appropriate forum, though,
one thing to check, if you haven't already done so, is that your laptop
actually has a serial port. Many laptops these days don't.
