MS Access and Internet - Subtle connection problem

Subtle connection problem

Frequently when I try to access any newsgroup or website I get the error
message "No connection currentrly avaialble etc.,etc., " and a 'Try Again'
button.

The Try Again button always works. Not too much of a problem maybe but it
does impact badly on certain programmes with no Try Again button when I need
to connect through that programme, e.g., Webstyle 4.0.

I'm on XP SP2 and IE7.0 beta.

Any way of correcting this would be very gratefully received.
