Actually i want distribute the application to school and most of the school

the application can be viewed successfully by the user of previous version of
windows and access program.

ACCESS 2003 will not run on Windows 98. You'll need to use ACCESS 2002 or
2000 to create the runtime.

Can i make a conclusion that:

If i create a database application of Access 2003, it cannot run on Windows
98.
To make it run, i have to create the runtime by using the Access 2002 or
Access 2000.

or

i can create the database application of Access 2002 or 2000, then it can
run on Windows 98...or previous version... is it correct?

Thanks for your info KEN :)

Thanks Ken! and to you too Paul for participating.

Hmm.. am new to this developer product.. i want to learn more about Access..
but am not really clear about the Runtime.

From the discussion and explaination.. it seems the runtime program is sold
separately from access program?

please advise me.. Access Runtime is sold separately or it is built in in
Access?

Appreciate your guidance!

The runtime (I think) comes on some of the Office CDs. You have to purchase the
developer tools for Access (name varies with your Access version) to acquire the
tools for creating installation packages and (most importantly) the license to
legally distribute the runtime.

In other words, the runtime is free for your users, but you need to buy
something (one time) to legally give it to them.

I don't recall if A2002 could run on Win 95. It might not have.
