have an existing Access 97 application which has been developed over a
number of years.

The number of network users has grown to over 80. Therefore I am
considering migrating the data to a MySQL backend with an Access run-time
front end. Can anybody recommend a reference book on this?

Thanks,
Mike

I have all three books available on SQL Server Upsizing. They each
had something different to say. Some were more useful than others but
I misremember which now. Some of them may be out of print and
unavailable too.

Microsoft Access Developer's Guide to SQL Server by Mary Chipman and
Andy Baron Publisher:Sams; ISBN: 0672319446 has been highly
recommended in the newsgroups.

(However the above book may be out of print. A situation which, so
my understanding goes, is increasingly occurring due to changes in
taxes and accounting with respect to book publishers. If my
understanding is correct the publishers must now expense all book
costs in the same accounting year that a book is printed. This means
that publishers can no longer store a whole bunch of books in a
warehouse and ship them to retailer and )

From Access to SQL Server by Russell Sinclair
Publisher APress; ISBN: 1893115240

And another by Rick Dobson which I felt wasn't as useful as the above
two.

Do a search at the Knowledge Base at support.microsoft.com using the
keywords "upsizing" to review the various white papers on upsizing
Access to SQL Server as well as to ensure you have any updates
required.
